While you may be able to boot into safe mode and remove the virus, the best thing to do would be to perform a complete factory reset of the device
When you log back into your account it will resync your purchases, allowing you to download them again.
To do a factory reset press/slide and hold the on button for 20 seconds.
It will appear to go through one reset at 5 seconds. Continue to hold until it resets the second time.
After doing that it should come up to the initial welcome screen.
This will insure that your device is completely virus free.
