I need to retrieve deleted messages for a legal matter. How do I go about getting those messages?
Here's what I have tried so far:

Unfortunately, there is no option for a user to retrieve a deleted message thread. But if you need it for legal matter, you will have to get a court order first and then file a report to Facebook so they can get you back those messages. Here's a link to file a report Facebook Report

Is there a way that I can contact Facebook directly? Since this is my Facebook Account, I don't understand why I would have to get a court order when this is all my own private information?

Facebook has its own guidelines for legal matters. Facebook communicates via online through requests and does not have phone support.
