NO I am afraid it is not. The one I have to change is the Jaw Rate Sensor, that is part of the Dynamic Stability Control. It is a kind of gyroscope that senses acceleration des-acceleration and changes of direction. It is supposed to be bellow the drivers seat but I do not know where. I took the seat off and took a peak off bellow the carpet and I did not see anything. I do not want to tear off the rest of the carpet without to know what I am doing. Al

HI this picture is not of the underseat of my car. I peeled off ALL THE CARPET UNDER THE SEAT AND THE SENSOR IS NOT THERE . Could you be more specific. For example is it at the front or the back, to the sides or the center. Under the drivers seat or under the center console?

Hi Alfonso,

On a BMW vehicle, the yaw rate sensor has 2 locations only, its either underneath the carpet drivers side or under the center console.

Hi Alfonso,

Just an additional information, you might want to check also the underneath the carpet of front passenger side. Some BMW Z4 released in 2003 has the yaw sensor placed on the passenger side.
