i have an epson GT 1500 scanner which i've used without a problem until i upgraded to a new windows 8 laptop. Now I can't scan both sides any more; it used to scan front sides, then all back sides then interpolate them in proper order. I am using Epson Scan v3.49A and Paperport 14; the reason I am asking you this is because the "scan other side" option used to come up on the Epson Scan dialog box.

Here's what I have tried so far:
i've emailed you without success; i've checked versions, checked online, reloaded software

Here's my brand/make/model:

Hi Joseph

I will have to ask you to install the printer driver on a different computer that has a different Windows Version. Try installing it to a Windows 7, let's see what it does.

it's not a printer. it's a scanner. And it works fine on another computer that I don't use any more.

Oh I'm sorry yes the scanner. Please try a firmware upgrade for the gt 1500 that is readily for windows 8. We may be having some compatibility issue.

i did that; it was v 3.49A, but I'll try to find it again. Not sure if it is the scanner or the Paperport 14 software which was bundled with it. But both of them work fine with my old Vista/7 PC.

Try this one more time. Try the scanner to a different computer like Vista or Windows 7. If it doesn't work then the problem will be the scanner itself but if it does work then it will be the program.

it works fine with my other computer. Same scanner, same software. I've been through this with Epson already. It's going to be a few days until I can work on this again. Please don't closes this case.

You may need a firmware update for the printer to work on Windows 8. That's the only thing I can think of since it's working on other computer. Please keep me posted.
