my ipad 4 froze while loading update. Cannot reboot. pressing wake/sleep button brings up apple logo, then a figure of a power cord pointing to itunes logo. cannot open or start up just blank screen!

Here's what I have tried so far:
connected unit to charge. Followed directions to re boot nothing.

Here's my brand/make/model:
apple ipad gen4 mod:A1458 ser: DMPL2HSBF186

PHONE/REMOTE NOTES:
-cx is getting a screen on the ipad that says connect to itunes
-advised cx to reset the ipad. still same
-informed cx that we need to restore the ipad to factory state and everything there will be deleted.
-cx agreed
-offered phone/remote upgrade. cx agreed
-connected to cx computer and restored the ipad
-ipad restored but cx forgot the icloud account that he used.
-advised cx to contact apple
-bookmarked our page so cx can get back to us

PHONE NOTES:
-called cx but thomas is not around
-talked to his wife and we tried couple of password but didnt work
-wife said that thomas call apple security and they should be getting a password reset email from apple
-they must have provided a wrong email address to apple
-wife will check thomas email and look again
-will call thomas at 3:30pm their time.
