I have a new I phone 5c. I am trying to set up iphone and restore from icloud backup, however I cannot get passed the icloud sign in page. It says my apple id or password is incorrect. I have just reset my password with no luck. Please help!

I have been on the phone with optus to reset my password.

PHONE NOTES:
-cx having problem with the apple id password
-advised cx to check the apple id on the phone
-tried resetting the password and cx not receiving any email for the password reset link
-found out that the apple id on her phone is different from her email address
-explained cx that she will not be able to receive a password reset link if the email address is invalid
-theres an additional period on her apple id versus her email address which doesnt have period on it.
-cx will coordinate with her internet service provider and have her email change so that she can perform the password reset.
-cx no further questions
