My Samsung Chromebook 3 recently stared to "blackout" when I would open it to a comfortable view position then I move the top closer to me and the home page comes up. Move it back to the more open position and it blacks out again.

Here's what I have tried so far:
nothing really this situation starting happening about a week ago

Hi George,

Is the screen turning off when you adjust the display on a different angle?

Try to reset the device by unplugging the adapter from the wall then press and hold down the power button for 20 secs until the device will turn off. Wait for 10 secs then press the power button again to turn it on. Test the issue again.

unfortunately I am in my office and the chromebook is at my home. But to answer you question It goes to black when I am adjusting the display therefore it must be turning the Chromebook off.

ok. If your suggestion to turn the system off and then on does not work and I need to replace the ribbon who do you suggest I take it to0

-told cx to follow the procedure that I provided is same thing gonna happen then the unit needs repair
-the problem there is the ribbon that connects the motherboard and the LCD
-told cx that he can bring the unit to a local computer repair shop or send it to google
