2011 ram 1500 4.7L Truck is not starting. Battery is good and it tries to start, but keeps cranking. The Electronic control light comes, but it goes out.

Here's what I have tried so far:
Talked with auto electric shop. they say it sounds like electronics. Can hear the fuel pump running when cranking. Also, if I leave key in start position, it continues to crank.

Here's my brand/make/model:
2011 dodge ram 1500

Hello Dave

How are you doing? As a first course of action I strongly suggest that you have the ignition switch checked and replace if necessary. Looks like that it's faulty or grounding somewhere.

Check the starter as well and have it cleaned for it can be dirty as well. Lastly, you may need to replace the crankshaft sensor if the two doesn't work. This will really need a physical check up by a good mechanic to resolve the issue.

Try to remove the positive battery connector as well, let it sit for 5 minutes then reconnect it. See if it does the trick.

Hope this helps and keep me posted on the progress.

Thank you
