Hi,
Thank you for your patience. So that I could help you, are you able to send me your excel file to e**o@outlook.com?
sent
I haven't received it yet, but I think it should come every moment.
have you received it now?
No, could you please check if you sent it to e**o@outlook.com?
yes thats the address it was sent to.
Oh, I don't know why I haven't received it but are you able to send it to our support at s**t@experthelp.com? When they receive it, they will forward it to me. Please mention that you need it to be forwarded to Mario. Thanks.
I sent it to them. When will you get it?
I have contacted our support; they will forward it as soon as they see my message. In the meantime, will you please explain your issue? What formula are you working on and are you able to provide some details regarding the initial question that says "Formula Drag Down is not working"?
just a minute
No problem.
so my problem is that I am putting a formula in a cell as X*(1-70%) where X is any number.
now when I drag the formula to below rows in same column, its not showing the right result.
it shows the value for the previously calculated cell. need to correct this.
I've just received your file. Could you tell me what cell are you referring to?
Go to second sheet named EMEA MPLS Option1 AS IS. Then look for O4. It has a value 930. I want to calculate it as =930*(1-70%). Then I would like to drag this formula down in the rest of the O column.
Should I change it to =930*(1-70%) and then drag the formula down in the O column?
yes try it.
I've done that and all the cells in O column are now 279.
it should not be
Could you please tell me what do you need to calculate in O column?
Currently, formula gives the same value in all cells because you don't have any variables. It is taking 930 and multiplying it with (1-70%). So nothing will be changed if you drag down this formula to all the cells in column O.
My need is that if it takes 930 in first cell , then in second cell it should take the next value and so on. How do we achieve this?
I understand. What values should it take? For O5, should it take the value in O4 and multiply it with (1-70%)?
it should be for O5= O5*(1-70%), O6= O6*(1-70%) AND SO ON.
That wouldn't work because we can't reference the same cell. But we can store the value in O5 somewhere and then use it. What should be the initial value for O5? Is it 930?
I think I accomplished something. Will send you the excel file now.
OK
Please check the cells in column O and let me know what you think.
Deepak,
Have you checked the file I sent you?
