Hi Fannie,
Go to the following website: https://www.irs.gov/Payments/Direct-Pay
Select "LOOKUP PAYMENT"
Enter your Social Security #
Let my know if you were able to obtain confirmation of monies deposited.
Victor
Fannie if you are unable to obtain your payment confirmation please let me know if you used a tax software program to file your tax return,
Fannie, If your payment was posted to your account the monies were received, you do not have to worry. If you want the confirmation # first check with the bank to see if the number was included on the transaction when they posted the amount withdrawn.
If you still want to know if the monies were applied correctly you can contact the IRS:
1- ***-***-**** hours 7 AM - 7 PM local time Monday-Friday
When calling the IRS do NOT choose the first option re: "Refund", or it will send you to an automated phone line.
So after first choosing your language, then do NOT choose Option 1 (refund info). Choose option 2 for "personal income tax" instead.
Then press 1 for "form, tax history, or payment".
Then press 4 "for all other questions."
Then press 2 "for all other questions." It should then transfer you to an agent.
Or you can contact your local IRS office. See this IRS website for local IRS offices -http://www.irs.gov/uac/Contact-Your-Local-IRS-Office-1
