I'm having trouble setting up my new iphone 5s. I misspelled my email address and an Activation lock has been on for a few weeks. I thinkI need to do a factory reset.

Hi Ferdinand, You helped me with my ipad a few days ago. Thanks for helping me with my second flub at setting up my Apple iphone and , yes, I do know my apple id and password
I see, If you have mispelled the Apple ID, Can you tell me what have you written forthis iphone?
Actually, I misspelled my email address and that put the phone into lock
By way of clarification, my Apple ID is my email address and the password was recently changed when I reset my iPad
Do you have an Idea how you have mistyped it? I mean what are the letters you have typed in instead?
Yes, instead of email@example.com. I put in firstname.lastname@example.org
Okay , is it activation lock that your are getting in the iphone?
It says this iphone is liked to an Apple ID. Enter the Apple ID and password that were used to set up this iphone...
