My 2016 miata grand touring came back from the shop having a windshield replaced and now the key has to be right next to start button to start the car. the door lock button on the handle doesn't work either. It is only 6 months old and I have a spare key that never gets used and that one doesn't work either so I don't think it is the battery in the key fob. Help!

Hello Marty

How are you doing? As a first course of action, I strongly suggest that you remove the negative battery connector of the car and let it sit for 5 minutes before reconnecting it. This will reset the system and can get it back to it's normal operating state. Hope this helps, I'll be standing by for your response.

Thank you

It didn't seem to help and since the car is under warranty, I am taking it to the Mazda dealership this morning to see if they can figure it out.
