I'm sorry but did you mean that you forgot your password for Norton Mobile Security? Let me know if this is what you meant.

Hi,

Thanks for writing back and telling me about the status of your device.

Do you have NAT (Norton Anti-Theft ) installed on your Android device. ?

And also what version of NMS (Norton Mobile Security) do you have installed on your Samsung S3 ?

Is your buddy sending just the remote command sms message unlock ?

Please let us know if you have further questions.

Respectfully,

Joseph

Hi,

Try unlocking your Galaxy S3 by doing the following:

  1. Log in into your NAT account by using the following link.
  2. Select your registered device in the NAT user interface.
  3. Select Lock Device.
  4. Select Confirm Lock.
  5. Create a Pin or Password and a message to be displayed on the Norton Anti-Theft lockscreen which will be displayed on your device.
  6. Select Lock This Device. This is a remote command to lock the Samsung S3 and will over ride the NMS lockvscreen and allow you to unlock your Samsung S3.
  7. Just enter the pin or password you created in the NAT user interface website into the NAT lock screen on your Samsung S3.

Let me know if this works.

Respectfully,

Joseph

Hi,

I just want to follow up on your issue with your Samsung Galaxy S3 being locked by Norton Anti-Theft. Did the procedure I gave you worked? If not, try unlocking your phone by sending simple text message (SMS) from a buddy’s mobile to your mobile.

Contact one of the buddies that you have added to your buddy list and have them send the following text message (SMS):

unlock buddy_mobile_number

Note: Make sure that you do not include the + sign, country code, or a leading 1 or 0 depending on your buddy's location.

Following are few examples :

  • For US:
If your buddy's mobile number is (213)456-7890, send the following text message to unlock: unlock 2134567890

  • For UK:
If your buddy's mobile number is 07512 345678, send the following text message to unlock: unlock 7512345678

If you don’t remember which contacts you have added to Buddies, do the following:

  1. Start the Norton Mobile Security app.
  2. Tap Anti-Theft. You are prompted to type the Anti-Theft password.
  3. Tap Forgot Password. A message is displayed to contact your specified buddies with the contact names that you specified as buddies.
  4. Contact one of the buddies and have them send the following text message to your device: unlock buddy_mobile_number After receiving the text message on your device, a message is displayed showing "Your device is unlocked".
  5. Type your new Anti-Theft password. Re-enter the password to confirm, and then tap OK.

Let us know if this works.

Respectfully,

Joseph
