Hello, My ipod classic turns on to the apple screen only gives a message to call apple support and also has a res circle with an x sumbol. When I have tried to restore it gives an error code of 1439.

I have tried the basic problem solutions on the web sit but to no avail. Also it makes a noise inside as a clicking noise?.

If the device is making a clicking noise it means that the issue that you have is more of a hardware related problem. You need to bring the device to an apple store for them to check it and fix it.
