Hello,

Thank you for contacting us through the site. It's my pleasure to assist you.

Try to do a soft reset and see if it works. Press and hold the Power and Volume Down buttons together for 10 seconds and the phone should go black & then display the logo.

Wait about 10 seconds and then press and hold the Power button again to restart.

Respectfully,

Joseph

Thanks for writing back and letting me know that the reset didn't work. Please perform the following steps and let me know if it still doesn't work:

  1. Press Menu > WiFi > Wi-Fi On.
  2. Your device will automatically search for available Wi-Fi access points. Scroll to the access point that you want to connect to, and press Connect.
  3. You can edit the name that appears in the list, if you desire. You will not be able to edit the Bearer Type or SSID.
  4. Scroll to Auth Type. The correct authentication type should already be shown. If it is not, scroll to the left or right and select the correct authentication type.
  5. Scroll to Encryption Type. The correct encryption type should already be shown. If it is not, scroll to the left or right and select the correct encryption type.
  6. Scroll to Password (if necessary) and enter the correct password.
  7. If your access point requires it, select the correct Protocol and Proxy Address.
  8. If you desire, you can edit the Home URL. This is the site that will open when you connect to this access point.
  9. Press Save > Connect. When you have successfully connected to the Wi-Fi access point, the Wi-Fi icon at the top of your screen will turn green.
  10. When you open an application that requires an internet connection, and Wi-Fi is on and connected, your device will use the Wi-Fi access point to connect to the web.

Kind regards,

Joseph

  1. Press Menu > WiFi.
  2. Press Wi-Fi On.
  3. Highlight the access point that you want to delete. Press Options > Delete.

To connect to an access point, follow the previous procedure I gave you.

Let me know if this still doesn't work.

Hello Lillie,

Thank you for writing back and letting me know that the previous resolution that I gave you didn't help and for telling me the error message you encountered.

The error message indicates that the password you used for the SSID of your wi-fi is incorrect. If you do not remember the password for your wi-fi connection, I suggest that you reset your router and set it up with a new password.

Let me know if you need help with this.

Hello Lillie,

Have you already reset the password on your router? When typing in the password on your phone, did you make sure to type in the correct password by character, making sure that it's case sensitive? Would you know if you are able to connect to the internet from the router using a different device, like your computer?

Kind regards,

Joseph

Hello Lillie,

Thank you for writing back and clarifying further on your situation. When you connect to the SSID (Wi-fi profile), scroll to Auth Type. The correct authentication type should already be shown. If it is not, scroll to the left or right and select the correct authentication type.

Scroll to Encryption Type. The correct encryption type should already be shown. If it is not, scroll to the left or right and select the correct encryption type.

Scroll to Password and enter the correct password.

Press Save > Connect. When you have successfully connected to the Wi-Fi access point, the Wi-Fi icon at the top of your screen will turn green.

Let me know if you're still having trouble afterwards.

Hello Lillie,

Thank you for writing back and letting me know that you still cannot navigate to the options I pointed you to. I'm sorry to know about your sentiments. Can I ask you to do one more thing? Let's have you perform a factory reset on your phone and see if you would be able to navigate to the options I advised you to go to earlier and see if you can connect via wi-fi already. Resetting your phone to factory settings should not delete your personal data on the phone. To reset your phone, go to Menu > Settings > Phone > Reset Phone then you will be prompted to reset factory settings; when that happens, just select Yes.

Let me know if you are still not able to connect after that.
