Hi there,

In case the above solution does not fixes the issue, please follow the steps listed below:

  1. Tap Setting on the home screen and Tap iCloud option in it.
  2. Now, toggle the Contacts switch to Off.
  3. Sync your Contacts with your Mac or a PC. Just connect your iDevice to your computer, fire-up iTunes, and enable Contacts Sync. (Hope you know this already!)
  4. Now, your contacts will be synced to your computer’s AddressBook. You are half way through the process now. On your phone, go to Settings > iCloud and toggle the Contacts switch to On! This will enable Contact sync on your device.
  5. The phone will ask you if it can Merge the contacts that are already on the phone. Just click Merge. And you are done. Your contacts are on the Cloud now.

If the issue still persists after following the above instructions, do let me know and I would troubleshoot this further till satisfactory resolution.
Your responses would be of immense assistance to solve this issue.

Thanks,
Himanshu

No, your suggestion didin't resolve the issue. I want to bring back the previous contact information; maybe it's stuck in the cloud

Hi,

Many thanks for the update and apology for delayed response.
Please find the following steps that might help in fixing the issue.

Solution 3 : The iCloud Fix

Go to “Settings”
Click on “iCloud” (it’s in the app section if you scroll down)
Turn off your settings
Turn them back on
Again, this probably triggers a “re-sync” with iCloud to force contacts back

Solution 4: The Import from SIM Fix

This fix relies on you storing contacts in your SIM card most likely:

Go to “Settings”
Click on “Mail, Contacts, Calendars”
Click “Import SIM Contacts”

Solution 5:

Make sure you are connected to iTunes and online.
Turn off your iPhone.
Turn it on again.
iPhone should sync automatically (this could take time, don’t interrupt it!)

Please try the three possible solutions to the problem as given above.
I would wait for your response.

Thanks,
Himanshu

Hi,

Do let me know if you had a chance to try the previous steps.
In case the above solutions do not work the below mentioned solution should be tried.

Solution 6:
Connect iphone to the computer and open itunes.
Once the phone shows up under "Devices" on the right side of the window, click on my phone icon and opened the "info" window (one of the tabs at the top).
Down at the bottom of the info page is "Advanced Settings" and "replace info on this iphone."
Ensure that Contacts box was checked to sync then synced. This might take a little longer than a regular sync, but it should work.

Looking forward for your response.

Thanks,
Himanshu
