Old controller buttons not responding well. Have new controller how to switch to new controller?
Hi,
Thank you for contacting ExpertHelp LLC. My name is Rofel and I am here to help you resolve your issues. Please wait while I prepare my answer for you. I might ask you to provide additional information if needed so I could provide you the steps that will resolve this issue. Appreciate your patience.
Hi,
Thanks for waiting. May I know what type of controller are you referring to on this question? Is it an Xbox, PS3, PS2, etc.?
I'll be waiting for your response.
It is a Comcast controller (or remote control) that comes with the Comcast Cable Box.
Thanks for the information. The new comcast remote will work with receiver. You will be able to change the channels.
May I know if you want to program the remote so you can control your TV (Volume Controls and Turn ON/OFF)?
That would be ok but more concerned about controlling the My Dvr and changing the channels where now we have to press hard and hold to get the buttons to work.
Thanks for your response and sorry for the delay. Please turn off the DVR and unplug it from the wall outlet for 10-15 seconds to drain the power. Connect the power cable, then turn on the DVR and try to control it using your new remote and let me know if the issue is fixed.
No that did not work.
Thanks for your response. Can you please remove the battery of your remote and replace it with fresh batteries? Try to control the DVR and check if the issue is fixed.
Let me know what happen.
Put in new batteries and still no reponse. Going to bed now. Beginning to think this "new" remote is no good.
Thanks for you response. It seems that the remote that you have is not working well and you need to contact Comcast to request a replacement.
Please call Comcast at 1-800-XFINITY or (1- ***-***-**** )
If you have questions please let me know. If were able to provide you a helpful and informative answer, I request to show your appreciation for my efforts by clicking the Green Accept Answer button right below my first response
