I am pretty much sure that the problem may be the printer driver or the compatibility to Mac Yosemite. Unfortunately the supported OSX for the printer is Mac OS X 10.8. The last driver downloads was released I think 2012 since Kodak just don't manufacture domestic printers anymore.

NOTE: The last OSX version the printer supports is Mac OS X 10.8 Mountain Lion. You can try that driver however there is a big chance that the printer may not work or if it does you may encounter printing issues.

You can checkout the driver download page for the 5300 to view the last updated driver if you want to try that to your Mac: http://www.kodakdriver.com/kodak-easyshare-5300-driver/

Operating System (s) Supported: Mac OS X 10.5.x, Mac OS X 10.6.x, Mac OS X 10.7.x, Mac OS X 10.8.x

If the drivers doesnt work for Mac Yosemite 10.10, then the best option is to use the printer on computers that support it.

You can also check this link to know that many Kodak Printers doesnt work after upgrading computer to Yosemite..

If you are satisfied with my answer, I request you show appreciation by Accepting my answer, so I may receive credit for my efforts. To do this, you may either click on this link or click the green **Accept Answer' button from right below my first response.
