I am by trade a VB programmer. I have been given the task "Prove why we should use SQL Server?" To be honest, everyone knows MS Access can't cut it. This question has stirred others. We run on NT 4.0 SP5, how will this help/hinder SQL Server? What are the limits of SQL Server? More importantly, what is the relative leraning curve? If anyone has answers to ANY of these questions please contact: Dean R. LaMana d**n@friend.ly.net Thank you in advance for your patience and time! Dean

SQL Server is a much more robust database than MS Access. With the latest version 7.0, there are so many wizards that it almost configures itself in an optimium manner. It can handle much larger volumes of data than MS Access. We can create stored procedures which are pre-compiled and hence faster to execute.
Check out the home page at www.microsoft.com/sql for all the benefits.
