I have a 2003 mini cooper s the crank sensor went bad So I replaced it & the camsaft sensor after putting it back together I started the vehicle no problem I went for a drive it seemed to run okay parked the vehicle at home then left again filled the tank with gas & drove to walmart it didnt seem to be running right when I would stepon the gas hard it didnt have much power it was like it was starved for gas I stopped at walmart & when I started it again after 5 minutes or so it started & immediately went into limp home mode it took probably 25 mins to do the 3.5 mile journey so when I got home I checked somethings & it all seemed to be done correctly so when I went to start it again it wouldnt start SO i tried for a lil while & decided to check the fuel rail to see if it had gas in it well it had some gas in it but no pressure the car needs to have 50 psi in the fuel rail to start so I immediately thought that the fuel oumo went bad so I ordered a new one recieved it out it & a new fuel filter on it puit it back together when I put the key in the igniotion turned to the on position I heard the fuel pump engage so if fugured cool its fixed I went to start the car & I got nothing it wouldnt start I checked the fuel rail again & no fuel pressure still so I figured greta the new fuel pump must not work either so on ebay I was able to get a used fuel pump with the fuel filter housing & sender for the other side of the gas tank & a used ECU for the car for only 120.00 so when I recieved them I installed all three of them on the car correctly now I dont know if the ECU needed to be programmed or not so i took the used ecu out & put the original back in the car still wont start the original ecu is in the car again cos I found out thru reading that the ecu is married to the once its used obviously the used ecu didnt work on my car because its not married to my vehicle but hte original one is back in the car with now 2 new & used fuel pumps & the car wont start because the fuel pumps turn on for a second & then shut off there is not enough time to build any fuel pressure to start the car what do i do does the ecu need to be reset or reprogramed again to the car so i am just puzzled & I seek your help thank you Brian Drabant
