When I try to install Oracle Personal Edition, after I specify the values for Source and Destination Paths, I get the message: 'There was a problem in accessing the staging area. Please make sure the specified values for Source and Destination are Valid' I am certain that I have the correct Path for the source file and I am using the recommended, default destination folder. I have tried other destination folders and I have tried installing it on two different computers with the same result. I am using Windows Mellenium edition. Please Help!!!

Windows ME? That may be your problem. Has this version of Oracle been fully tested with this home pc operating system? Regards, Matthew Pomar

Check with techhelp at oracle. Last time I spoke to them, they said you can't insatall oracle 8i on ME and there was no plan to enhance Oracle to work with ME. With 2000 it will work. Not 100% sure - but may be a clue to why not. Good Luck.
