91 integra: Had been sitting for 3 mo. started right up and drove about 35 miles and suddenly it lost all power. putting in the clutch and trying to rev it, it would only very rough rev to 2000 while backfiring through the exhaust. Like it was getting too much fuel? I replaced the fi pressure regulator and checked the dist spark and the cam timing. It puts our 200 lbs compression test.

Hello Allan... Can you please remove the positive battery of the vehicle and let it sit for 5 minutes before reconnecting it. Start the vehicle and let's see if the light will still flash. I'll be waiting for your response. Thank you

I have done that already. Same. Also checked fuel pressure and replaced pressure regulator. Tried to start this morning. Same. Pulled

plugs and they were dripping wet. Good spark. Cam timing checked as well as spark timing. MAP?

Ok Allan, it should have solve the issue because of the code given. Now does the light still blinks? If it doesn't, I'm suspecting that the fault will be on the distributor. Have you replaced them recently? Please let me know. Thank you

Ok, that means that the ECU is working. I am thinking that the distributor is at faulty Allan. Have you replaced the distributor lately?

Posted
Customer

No I have not replaced it recently but I having similar thoughts will. Thanks

Posted
Customer

BINGO!!! New distrubutor and it started right up. Strange before changing the distributor I checked the spark again and it was

good and hot but seemed irigular.  Any way it works. Thanks
