That's great to hear... As a first course of action, I strongly suggest that you remove the positive battery connector and let it sit for 5 minutes before reconnecting it. Start the engine and try to check if the heat will blow evenly.
i get heat when a/c is on. i don't know if that is important?
should i disconnet positive terminal now?
If reconnecting the battery doesn't resolve the issue then the problem here will surely be the blend door actuator. This do fail over time and the result will be uneven distribution of heat on either side.

This will cost $50 at least. Once replaced you'll be good.
