We are experiencing very intermittent grinding noise rear axle/breaks(?) on our new 2016 Jeep renegade. Is this normal electronic break adjustment noise? Noise occurs after light breaking at highway speeds when break pedal is no longer depressed.

grinding noise continued until vehicle was stopped: we pulled off road when noise started.  it did not continue after complete stop.

Hello Jim... if that's the case this is not normal. It's a new vehicle and must be looked at in the dealership for brake correction. I would suggest to remove the rear wheels and check any obstruction in the brake pads / disc brakes. Small stones can cause this issue as well but if there's no obstruction, the dealership should handle this for service. Is there anything else I can add or help you with Jim?

Issue identified : Brake noise
Solution Implemented : Must check pads / discs for obstruction. Best thing is to take it to the dealer for it's a new vehicle
