Hi,

There are lot of things to check in buying a used Porsche. Few of the things that you need to check are the service history of the car. The owner should have all the receipts and serviec records on the service manual. Chek also the overall engine for any leaks. Check the belts if they are worn out. Check the radiators and condensers for possible leakage. Check the wheels if they are properly aligned. Check the body works if theres any mis-alignement especially the under chassis and frames. If theres misalignement then possible that the car has been into accident. Drivability of the car will be compromised. Please  click the link below and read the article on what you need to check on the car.

There are oil dipsticks on transmission and engine oil. You can check them out. If the oil is dark brown already or black then an oil change needed to the vehicle. It is recommende to have an oil change after you bought the vehicle.

No you cannot check the codes by pressing the buttons. If you need a thorough check for codes then you need to bring a mechanic that has a code reader to make sure.

Let me know if you have further questions.

My old  Mercedes, there was a option by holding AC console butons and was giving me all good and bad codes, are you sure that there is not option like that for 911

Theres no such thing as that on porsche. The car is using a tool and software called Durametric. That is the one that it is using in pulling up error codes.
