i just bought one owner 2013 Kia Optima Turbo,29,000,miles serviced only at kia,whats the deal with these blown engines and sludge,i have a 2002 Saleen,im no dummy,my Mechanic just changed the oil and did the magnetic test on the oil draining and up in oil pan,no problems at this time,many disgusted owners,i love the car but only had it a month,is this car trouble???

i am saying these cars have had blown engines due to bad rod bearings,you should know that if you are a Kia Mechanic ,they recalled these motors that are in the Sonata,but Kia hasnt, I know my way around cars,no there isnt a problem with car now,but thats why I am asking a Kia mechanic

should i be worried? i see the Warranty isnt transferable even if car has only been serviced by Kia,that is pretty bad in my opinion

Here's the thing with this Kia Optima... It has no engine warning light if it's low on oil. If you can follow the proper oil change interval then you need not to worry. Most of the cases are they are running on low oil which the owners don't notice Brian. Since you are a mechanic that shouldn't be a problem.

ok much relieved,im 58 years old I have had hot rods all my life,I love my Saleen Mustang,i have loved these Optimas,i finaly bought on,sold my Taurus,i use mobil one only,but why no oil light? do these engines burn oil,should i check level often? m

You'll be good by using Mobil 1 Brian, I love this oil. This engine doesn't burn oil, some people tends to forget an oil change. Once or twice a week oil checking will be good Brian.

ok Relly,thank you for your opinion,this car gets up and goes,i bought 2013,because 274hp,they dropped horsepower in 2015 i think,my saleen has 400,lol,ok i will check oil,money well spent asking you,but no oil light,Kia what are you thinking? thanks again i will keep you in my Favs
