Several different problems could be causing your washer to stop in the start of the cycle. yes one of them is the door lock. Did you try to check if the door lock is somehow stuck or doesnt switch?

We wont go to that point yet. We need to do some additional checking first before we go to verifying that the door switch is the problem. Excessive suds could be causing this problem in some models of washers too. Another thing is thethe water inlet valve. When it fails, the washer will continue waiting for the water to enter the washer, causing it to stop mid-cycle. Many washers will signal an error code or fault code on the console when the washer stops in the middle of the cycle.. Can you check the console for an error code or a series of flashing lights when you start the cycle please?

So theres no water coming in at all? It looks like the first thing to do is check the water inlet valve. 

Yes I understand. Just be sure we need to check water inlet first since this can be the cause of the problem and is easier to check. The water inlet valve requires sufficient water pressure to function properly. First, check the water pressure to determine that it is adequate. If the water pressure is adequate, try cleaning the screens inside the water inlet valve hose connection ports. Then lets see what happens.

Im sorry about that. Are you having trouble checking the washers parts? If you want to let me look for some alternative and easier solutions if I can find one but I need some time to do research on this. Will that be okay?

Sure take your time let me know if you are back online. Looking at the situation the water is good and the washer has no power problems since it does beep which means its the door. And yes the door should lock before the cycle starts which on your case isnt happening. I'll check further on that while waiting for you to get back later. Thanks

Done doing some research on this and found 5 causes/reasons why the washer wont start and this focuses on the door lock and switch assembly. the last part that may be affected is the control panel which I think not on your case. Please check these info that I found:

You mentioned that the door doesnt lock at all right? I'm afraid we need to check the door lock assembly. I think I can find a video for you that will guide you remove a door lock assembly on a Kenmore front load. This will be easier since you will have a visual guide. Please let me know just in case.
