Hello Patricia

How are you doing? Do you mean that the turn signals are steady when it's turned on? I'll be standing by for your response.

Thank you

Yes. They do not blink. They are solidly on.

Hello Patricia

Good to hear back from you. As a first course of action, I strongly suggest that you remove the negative battery connector and let it sit for 5 minutes before reconnecting it. This will reset the system and can get it back to it's normal operating state. I'll be standing by for the result.

Thank you

Sorry, I am not available to do this right now. I just want to know what is causing the malfunction. Can you help answer my question?

First of, the body control module can be at fault that's why it will not blink. Removing the negative battery connector will reset the system and can get it back to it's normal operation. The BCM is like the brain of the electrical system in the vehicle.

Second, it can be a faulty turn signal/flasher relay that needs to be replaced. The relay looks like the picture below

Third, it can be a faulty wiring that needs to be looked at. It can be grounded somewhere that needs to be checked physically by a reputable auto electrician. The faulty wiring can be cause by corrosion or breakage that will require replacement.

These are the possible things that can cause this issue Patricia and hope this helps. Is there anything else I can add or help you with? Hope that the first option works to cut your expense. I'll be standing by for your response.

Thank you
