I have an HP Laptop Pavilion g7-1150 that keeps getting the blue screen of death and says the following: http.//windows.com/stopcode. The stopcode is Memory Management. I did run a diagnostic on the memory for the laptop and it can back with the following results: failure id: gu2p68-5nb8jn-xd015g4oc403 product id: le320ua#aba Memory Module 1: Bottom –Slot 1 Visit: www.hp.com/gotechcenter/PCDiags I did go to the website and put my question in but didn't want to spend the money but afterwards received and email that it would give me 50% off the price. So I am now wanting to know what I need to do in order to get my laptop running correctly again. Thanks

Hello Kip

How are you doing? Hope everything is well. Here's what I think, it can be a system crash on your system. If you're gonna ask me, I'll reformat the computer and put a fresh copy of Windows operating system. Hope this helps and I'll be standing by for your response.

Thank you

I am not sure I understand that it could be a system issue. When I ran the diagnostic it gave me the following info:

failure id: gu2p68-5nb8jn-xd015g4oc403

product id: le320ua#aba

Memory Module 1: Bottom –Slot 1

Visit: www.hp.com/gotechcenter/PCDiags

The way that I understand the problem is that it is a hardware problem. What does the failure id code mean? and what does it mean by Memory Module 1: Bottom - Slot 1. Does it mean i need to replace the memory board? I need to more from you regarding the code, etc. I received to evaluate my next steps. Please let me know. Thanks

Hello Kip

Good to hear back from you. Failure id: gu2p68-5nb8jn-xd015g4oc403 pertains to hard disk failure. Memory Module 1: Bottom –Slot 1 pertains to Bad Memory Slot or Mother board slot problem.

I believe that you are getting the error Failure ID because the boot up process will not go through. This is because it can't be process by a bad memory or motherboard. Now the question is, will you risk replacing the board or you just purchase a new computer. Hope this shed some light Kip. I'll be standing by for your response.

Thank you

So if I understand you correctly I need to either replace the motherboard or purchase a new computer to fix my problem. Is it the motherboard or just the memory board. Thanks
