Hi Tom
How are you doing? May you pleaes check out the diagram below that may help you out on the hose layout.
This will not require a transmission drop as they're saying. I'll be standing by for your response. Hope you find this helpful.
Thank you

But what has to be removed to get to part #5? Also, I don't think I can even touch 2 bolts #4 from above let alone get a wrench on them.
Hello Tom
Good to hear back from you. To remove part #5 you will need a special quick connect release tool to get the fitting off the tubing. You might find the tool at your local parts store, and I think it looks like the picture below.
Is there anything else I can add or help you with Tom?

The problem is getting to the hose where it comes out of the left side of the block and also to the two bolts #4 in the diagram. I think the battery, battery tray, serpantine belt, and alternator will have to be removed to get to the hose on the left side of the block. Will anything else have to be removed? Also, I don't see how the two bolts #4 in the diagram can be reached from above, I can't even see where they are located. Any idea how to get a wrench or socket in there?
Hello Tom
Please click the blue HOSE REMOVAL link below to see how to use the special tool
With regards to the part number 4 which is the bolts, I never had a chance to access it for it was always the hoses coming from the firewall I am replacing. I am suspecting that it will be access on the dash firewall. Try to look underneath the dash if you can have a good look on the bolts.
Relly
The 2 bolts #4 attach the metal part of this line to the back of the engine block going thru the top part of the transmisson housing. That is why they are difficult, impossible, to get to.
Good to hear back from you Tom... I believe that there's no easy way to do it but to drop the tranny to gain access to the bolts. I don't think that we have special tools that can access this bolt.
