This a new TV, not the one you helped with before. The New Tv is model D40-D1 Serial #LTTETVC8201885. I didn't get a manual with my TV so I am lost.

Your tv is a smart TV but the D series model doesnt have Smartcast function which enables you to connect your tablet or phone to the tv. The model of your tv is a D series. You may click the link below for the user manual.

Issue identified : cx want to connect her tablet and phone to the tv
Solution Implemented : chat with cx. told cx that the tv is not capable in doing smartcast. called cx and provided her the models that are smartcast enabled tv. emailed cx the user manual for her tv sets. answer accepted.
