Please follow the steps provided below on how to change the time date and to connect the kindle to wifi.

How to connect kndle fire to your wifi

  1. Swipe down from the top of the screen to show Quick Settings, and then tap Wireless.
  2. Verify that Airplane Mode is Off.
  3. Next to Wi-Fi, tap On.
  4. Tap a network to connect to it. If you see a lock image of lock icon 
				 icon, a network password is required. Enter the Wi-Fi network password, and then tap Connect.

Steps on how to change the date and time on your kindle fire.

  1. Swipe down from the top of the screen and then tap Settings.
  2. Tap Device Options, and then tap Date & Time.
  3. If Automatic Time Zone is turned On, your device will use a Wi-Fi or Mobile network (if available for the device) to determine the time zone. If you want to select your time zone manually, tap Offnext to Automatic Time Zone, and then tap Select Time Zone. Select your time zone from the list that appears.
