Hello Bob

How are you doing? The "Do not disturb" might be activated that's why it does not ring. Here's how to turn it off.

Turn Do Not Disturb on or off

When Do Not Disturb is on, you see a ( half moon sign) do not disturb icon in the status bar. There are two ways to turn Do Not Disturb on or off:

Go to Settings > Do Not Disturb to turn on Do Not Disturb manually or set a schedule.

Open Control Center, then tap do not disturb icon .

Hope this helps Bob. I'll be standing by for your response.

Thank you

Relly

Is the mute On Bob? On your iPhone, go to Settings and tap Sounds (or Sounds & Haptics, depending on your model). Make sure the Ringer and Alerts slider isn't all the way to the left. If it is, move the slider to the right in order to turn up the volume.

Ok Bob please try this. Go to settings-general-accessibillity-scroll to assistive touch and turn it on.
Then you have a white circle on black square icon -tap- tap on device- tap on Mute/Unmute- Try and see if that solved the ringer problem. If it has, go back and turn assistive touch off- that might also solve the problem.
