Please try ro make your printer as your default printer. Please follow the steps provided below.

  1. Choose System Preferences from the Apple menu, then Print & Fax.

    #

  2. Click on the Printing tab to see all the printers installed on your computer. The current default printer will be in bold.

    #

  3. If you want to change the default printer, select a different printer from the Selected Printer in Print Dialog pull-down menu.

    #

The printer you select in Step 3 above will now be selected as the default each time you select File, Print in an application. Then try to print now. I will be standing by.

It is my default printer.  It shows it as idle.

I see. Can you power off your printer. And then after 2 minutes power it on again and then try to print again. Advise me what will be the result.

I have done that already.  And I have unplugged or turned off the computer, t he printer, the router and waited, then plugged back in.  Nothing.

I see. Can you try to cancel all your printer jobs on que. Please try the following steps provided below.

  1. Open the  Apple menu and go to “System Preferences” and choose Printers
  2. Select the active printer and choose “Open Print Queue” button
  3. Select and cancel the print job(s) as desired, canceling them and removing them from the printing queue.

The printer icon has an orange circle with a wavy line in it.  The new document is in the buffer. Not printing.

I see. Then we need to reinstall your printer to your computer. Please try the following steps provided below.

 

  1. Click the Apple menu, then click System Preferences.
  2. Depending on your operating system version, click Print & Fax, Print & Scan, or Printers & Scanners.

  3. Check if the name of your printer displays in the Printers list. Do one of the following steps, depending on if the printer is listed or not.
    • If your printer is listed, remove and re-add the printer to confirm communication and to make sure the correct driver is used. Click the name of your printer, then click the minus sign to delete the printer. Once the printer is removed, click the plus sign , click Add Printer or Scanner, click the name of your printer, then continue to the next step.
  4. Click the Use or Print Using menu, then select the name of your printer.
      note:Selecting a Generic driver option from the Use menu can result in limited printer functionality.

  5. Click Add to add the printer to the list.

Then once your printer is successfully added try to print again. I will be standing by for the result.

There is no plus or minus sign.

Now you need to click on the PLUS sign now to add the printer again. Follow the steps I just provided you.
