Yes we have surge protector. TV shuts on and off constantly for about 5 minutes. Then we will be watching tv and in appropriate 40 to 60 minutes it will do it again. Today it has done it all morning.
Thank you for your respones. Can you try to unplug the tv and do not use a surge protector. Try to use a different power outlet and then plug the tv again. Then see if you will still be getting the same error. I will be standing by for the result.
It won’t go on at all. Cable box shows EF0.
I see. unplug the cable box also. Wait for 5 minutes and then plug back in the tv and the cable box without using a surge protector.
It says on tv check the device STB? Ef01 is what cable box says when it is turning on and off
We’ll try that. It keeps saying not connected but it is.
Unplug the cable box and the tv wait for 30 seconds and plug both back in again both of them again.
Then once you plug it back in power on the tv first then the cable box.
If still having the same error message try to replace the HDMI cable and see if that will helps. I will be standing by.
We got the tv on. What does surge protector have to do with it. Also it’s on now but I will wait awhile to see if it shuts off again.
Try to replace the surge protector. Sometime if not enough current supplying the tv it will shuts down. I will be standing by for the result.
Surge protector was changed this morning. Can we plug it back in to the protector....only cable box , tv, lamp, is in the protector
