Connecting amazon fire stick to my tv without disconnecting my cd

May I know what do you mean by "without disconnecting my cd" ? Are you referring to your DVd player?

May I know the model of the TV? If you are referring to a DVD player It is no need to disconnect the player. Firestick is plug and play and can be  plugged in to any available HDMi port in your TV

Most of the samsung TVshave more than one hdmi ports located on the side and on the back of the TV. Have you already check that? 

Unfortunately if you only have one HDMI you will definitely need to remove the player everytime you'll use the firestick

Is it only giving a black screen?

Issue identified : Black screen problem
Solution Implemented : call customer| assist in setting up the firestick| check input source | select hdmi1| able to get the firestick setup screen| problem solved
