Hi Tracy, I am here

Before the new download I use to start my computer and my log in page would appear.  I input my PW and I was on to my log in page.  Now I get the apple download bar and go directly into my log in page,  No password protection.

So when you start up the Mac, it goes directly to your desktop, and not to the login page, is that correct?

That's a simple fix.   Go to System Preferences -> Users & Groups -> Login Options  (make sure the padlock is unlocked - if not, click on it, and enter your Mac password).  Change the Automatic Login to OFF.   Then Restart. It should take you to the login page.

If this does not work I just got ripped off.  I do not like this expensive system you are incorporation.  I use to be able to contact a live person at Apple care and they did a good job.  How do I know this will work?

Okay. Since you purchased remote support upgrade.  Please download Teamviewer from teamviewer.com    Download it and install it, then I need the partner ID and password it gives you.  Then I can do the remote work from here.

** Expert Notes -

Called Customer via Sorenson VRS.

Told her to do this:

Go to System Preferences -> Users & Groups -> Login Options

Made sure she clicked on the padlock, and told her to enter her Mac Password.

Changed the Automatic Login to OFF.

Told her to restart.

She got the Login Page. She thanked me for my help. All is well.
