no screen diaplays current time and date. cannot navigate from there---apears frozen
I see. Try to force reboot the ipad if its frozen by pressing and holding the power and home button at the same time and wait for the apple logo to appear on the screen. Let go the buttons when you see the apple logo and wait for the ipad to reboot.

Issue identified : cx ipad got disabled
Solution Implemented : called cx and accessed her computer. Installed itunes to the computer. Connect the ipad to the computer and restored it using itunes. Ipad restored. helped cx ion setting up the ipad. Done seeting up ipad. Ipad is now up and working. problem solved.
