My Apple Ipad won't update, it's running very slow. I am wondering if it can be updated. Here are some of the pertinent information: Model number - MD521E/A, serial number - DMPK21U1F18G. I'm only at version 10.3.3 (14G60). Can it be fixed?

Please press and hold the Home and Power button of your iPad until you see the Apple Logo. Once you see the Apple Logo release the 2 button. Wait for a few seconds and when the iPad is ready please let me know so we can proceed on the next step.

Going there now
It says my software is up to date 10.3.3
Thanks for your response. Give me a few minutes and I will check the version of your iPad.
Thanks for waiting. I checked the model of your iPad and you are using the Apple iPad 4th Generation w/ Retina Display.
Unfortunately if you are trying to update it to iOS 11 the iPad that you are using is not support. Here are the list of models that are supported by iOS 11.
May I know why do you want to update it? Is there a software that you are trying to install on your iPad that requires a higher version of the software?
No, i just keep having to shut the ipad down with a reset, an it runs really slow
If the iPad is running slow you can free some disk space by deleting app that you are not using or you can reset it to Factory State but it will wipeout everything on your iPad.
How can i find out what apps are running slow, and i can not or will not do a factory reset. I have a lot of things i run/do with this ipad.
Do i need to buy another ipad?
We cant tell which of the app are running slow. What I mean by deleting apps is freeing some disk space on your iPad.
You can also try to close the running apps on your iPad. You simply tap the Home button 2x as fast as you can until you see the multitask screen. Refer to the sample image below.
.
Then you just swipe up the apps or window that you are not using. If you want a faster model of the iPad you can buy a newer version.
Ok, I've done that also... i do it everyday. I will delete some of the apps i dont use also. It looks like i have to purchase a newer ipad. Do you have a recommendation? I need to keep up with the latest.
Whats the newest version?
R u still there?
Thanks for your response. If you want the iPad to last for years and will be compatible for the upcoming update I would strongly recommend getting the latest model. The newest version is the iPad Pro.
It comes in 2 sizes the 10.5 and the 12.9.
Ok, thanks... gotta go... appreciated the help and information... take care, again THANKS
