My mom's iPad deactivated..??? So...in attempting to reactivate it, the screen comes on and asks which WIFI is needed. She doesn't have wifi, it's 3G.. So stuck there. Then typed in her Apple ID and password, and it's says that it's wrong. It will not open up at all to go into settings. Frustrated. We thought an IPad would be great for her at age 83, and it's has worked fine. One day she gets an error asking for a password.... She thinks...then its deactivate. Any help would be appreciated.

Great. Please open iTunes and connect the iPad to the computer. It will show you a page where it ask for an Apple ID and password. 

On the activation page screen it on iTunes it will shows you a hint of the Apple ID like this (e*****@g*****.com). Can you please check and provide me with that Apple ID?

How on earth do I connect the iPad to the computer...  Like the USB port, white plug

You need to use the charging cable. Remove the power adapter on the end of the cable and you will be able to connect it to a USB port of your computer.
