Thank you for your response. You can remove or delete the iBook you already read since it is save in the iCloud after youe done reading it. If you want to read it again just simply download it again through the iCloud. Doing this it will free some space on your iPad. How to do it follow the steps provided below.

On an iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch

  1. Open the iBooks app.
  2. Tap Purchased at the bottom of the screen, then tap Books or Audiobooks, depending on what you want to redownload.
  3. Tap "Not on This [device]."
  4. Find the book or audiobook that you want to download, then tap download icon . The item downloads to your device.
