I tried 4x to open the link sent without any success.  Suggestions??

Go to your finder application then go to your downloads folder.

See if you can find the go to assist opener.dmg in there.

Then run it

Dear David, It was a pleasure helping you with your tech issue today. Here is a summary of the resolution.
Issue identified :

Asistance in recovering an old Linked in account

Solution Implemented :

Call customer and assisted in requesting access to an old account

Linked in asked for an ID

Sent Linked in customer's ID

Linked replied and provided a password reset link to access the account again

customer now have access to the old account and opted to Close the account through settings

issue resolved
