i am experiencing start problems swith my 2008 ram. in january it was not engaging at -30 deg. but would engage at -30 deg. now it is not engaging at +20 deg. I always have to hold it in the start position and i get about 5 clicks and it may or not engage.
Thank you for your response. Please have the ignition switch check. This is most common problem with the Dodge. Known to be problems with these Ram 1500 are faulty ignition switches that burn out but not completely so they work intermediately. Have this check to have your issue fix. :)
//do you mean the key switch or the module behind the key set?
Yes that is correct. :)
I have purchased the lock set but have not installed it. It seems my problem is electrical and not mechanical?
It is a electrical issue Arnold. Have the dealer check it for you for safety.
Is there anything else I can assist you with Arnold? :)
Okay. If I can get it started. I am in a remote area here in northern MN.
thank you. i will contact my dealer.
