HI Gwen! Thank you for choosing ExpertHelp.com. Is this humming noise only appears when the car is moving? When the car is running but it is in a still position you can't hear the humming sounds?
Do you hear the sounds when the car is in idle?
I believe I hear it mostly while driving, but sound lessens when slowing dow.
Yes
Thank you for your response. The issue here is your wheel bearing. Have your wheel bearing change so that this humming sounds will be fix. :)
You still hear the sounds even the car is in idle?
Ok, any idea of the cost?
I just like to confirm first. Do you still hear the humming sounds even the car is idle?
Yes
If that is the case it is not the wheel bearing issue it most probably a The belt tensioner pulley could be the culprit or the aircon compressor bearing. Can you run the car on idle and do not turn on the aircon and rev it a couple of times. Advise me if you hear the humming noise when the aircon is off.
Will go do it now and let u know soon
I see. I will be standing by for your updates.
No I am not hearing it humming
I see. But when the aircon is on you can hear the noise correct?
No, only hear it when driving and when slowing down the noise is not as loud.
I see. Have the belt tensioner pulley check and also all the belts on your engine might be loose or needs to be replace. After this you issue with the humming noise will be fix. :) Anything else I can assist you with?
It at this time thanks
