I bought a used Toyota Yaris fitted with winter tyres - think they were 165/80R13 79T. Might have been 175/80R13 70T - but they are gone now - so can't check. Anyway! They were on 13" wheels! The winter tyres were cracked/perished on the walls and I decided to replace the tyres with "All-season tyres". On every website - when I entered my registration number - the tyres on offer were invariably 175/65R14 82T. Then - almost immediately after - my insurance came up for renewal and - as it had gone up yet again - I went onto a price comparison website and ended up putting in my details and one of the questions asked was "had I changed my wheels from factory fitted?" Yes - I had changed my wheels - but what was the factory-fitted size? Had one of the previous 4 owners changed the factory-fitted size from 14" to 13"? What was the factory-fitted size for SB53SVX - engine no 1SZD212574?

Thank you, Ramy!  Just been out to check my new tyres and they are the 175/65R14 82T - fitted by my DIY mechanic son.  So I don't feel obliged to tell my new insurance company that I have "changed the wheels" as they are - as you say - suitable to use with my car.  The old 13" wheels were very rusty (14 years old - maybe), so I am very happy with my new 14" wheels and "all-season tyres", especially as you have just told me that they are suitable for my car.  Thank you, again!  Thank goodness someone knows what he is talking about!!
