Hi Madeline,

Try to perform a hard reset on the apple watch by following the procedure below.

  1. Position the Watch so you can easily access both the Digital Crown/Home and Side buttons, and then firmly hold the device in your hand.
  2. Simultaneously press and hold both buttons for roughly 10 seconds, until the screen turns off and the Watch reboots.
  3. Test the issue again after the hard reset.

Let me know if this helps.

Try to perform a factory restore pn the apple watch. This will wipe all bad softwares and irregularities on the device and will install and brand new software. See procedure below.

  1. Open the “Settings” app on the Apple Watch and go to “General”
  2. Scroll down and choose “Reset”
  3. Tap on “Erase All Content and Settings”
  4. Enter the passcode for the Apple Watch
  5. Scroll down and confirm you wish to reset the Apple Watch and erase all data from the device

Once you confirm the reset, a spinning wait indicator will appear on the screen for quite some time, eventually followed by an  Apple logo with an indicator around that. Follow the on screen instructions to setup the watch then check the issue again.
