My cell phone is now locked. I tried the code number sent but it would not work. Now my cell phone is locked completely.

It is asking me to enter passcode. requires your passcode after restarting

Thanks for your response. The passcode is the 4 or 6 digit code that you setup on your iPhone. You cant remember the code?

Correct. I’m not positive the original number. The 6 didget number is the one Apple sent me that I tried.

It is the one that you create not the one that was sent to you by Apple. You are the one who created the passcode. 

There's no way we can reset the passcode. If you cant remember it or the iphone wont accept your passcode the only way to remove it is to restore your iPhone to factory state using iTunes on a computer. Restoring your iPhone will wipeout everything in it.

If you have an iCloud or iTunes backup we can restore it after we fix the iPhone. Do you have a computer that we can use to restore your iPhone?

This is how I got locked out. I was trying to update my iCloud it was asking for my Apple code. It locked my phone when I tried the number.

Thanks for the information. Restoring it using a computer is the only way to remove the passcode. If that's the case you will need to bring it to a nearest Apple Service Center in your area.

If you can provide me with your zipcode I can check and provide you the location of the service center.

If the iPhone is still in warranty the repair will be covered. If incase the service center are far from your area we can use the laptop of your friend. Just let me know when it will be available so I can call you to help you fix it.

Ok I do not have internet access at my place. Can she do it fir me or will I need to be with her. Her schedule n mine are complicated.

No need to be with her. We just need to restore it and once it is restored she or you can set it up like when it is brand new. Just take note of the passcode that you will be setting up so that this issue wont happen again. 

By the way we need the charging cable of the phone because we will connect it to her computer.

Dear Hart, It was a pleasure helping you with your Apple issue today. Here is a summary of the resolution.


Issue identified : Forgot Passcode and Password of his Apple ID


Solution Implemented : Called the customer / Customer cant remember his Passcode / Explained to the customer that we will need to restore the phone to factory state using a computer / Customer agreed with the proceed and I schedule him for a callback tomorrow / Suddenly the customer was able to remember the original passcode that he is using / Customer was able to unlock the phone but it is asking him for the iCloud password / Assisted the customer to reset the password by sending the code to the phone / Successfully created a new Apple ID password / Successfully signed in to his phone /  Advised customer to write down the passcode and the password so that he wont lose it / Issue Resolved / Answer Accepted / Advised customer that we will not use the remote upgrade / Advised that we will cancel the remote upgrade and he will get a notification from support about the refund
