Its only the compressor that power is disconnected to-- fans remain running.

The recommended optimal settings is 37 degrees and the freezer is 0 degrees. You mentioned that the compressor is not running or do not have power right?

Posted
Customer

Right.  After control boards & run capacitor were replaced compressor ran for half hour--power was lost to compressor for about 2 minutes--

then ran again for 1 minute -then power lost again. Fans kept running all the time.  Weird"'

I see. Since the control board and run capacitor has already replace. What I can suggest you is to have the Start Relay check. The start relay is a small device mounted to the side of the compressor. It provides power to the run winding along with the start winding for a split second at start-up to help get the compressor started. If the start relay is defective the compressor may run intermittently or not at all and the refrigerator will not get cold enough.

I think all the starting for this compressor is from the control board. Theres just a connector harness plug to compressor.

Customer

They,re what they call LG linear compressors.

I see. Have that check. Since the fan is working and anyting that I will suggest you to replace you already replace it. :)

Customer

Yes I,ve replaced so far what I thought would be the problem. I,m starting to think that it being a different style compressor that problem is

the compressor even though its not over drawing amps & usually quite hot to the touch.

I see. Well, the only thing that needs to be check now is the compressor. But can you double check I think it is the Thermistor is that is connected to the Control Board. The Start Relay is normally mounted on the Compressor. If the Start relay is still good then I have to say that you need to have the compressor check.

Customer

Okay--I,m thinking its the compressor thats bad. Theres no relay/overload on it.

Thanks for your info""
