I have downloaded the app "ExpressVPN" from Google store but it does not recognise my TV and I am unable to open it on my TV, but can open it on my SAMSUNG S9 telepohone which is no good to me.

I did but cancelled it because of the problem. I was on their chat service for over 4 hours and they could not assist me.

can you go to the menu of the tv then go to network then network status then go to ip settings then DNS settings. choose enter manually. enter the dns ip address 8.8.4.4. try downloading the app again.

I have put in 8.8.4.4. into IP address. Should I put this into Gateway and DNS Server as well?

Subnet Mask shows 255.255.255.0 for your info

Do not enter anything on the ip address. Just DNS only. do not do anything also in the subnet mask.

-called cx and provided steps to make the expressvpn work with samsung tv

Hello Elixir. Finally found time to try to set up SAMSUNG TV but may have made a grave mistake. The YouTube Tutorial was great but I put most of the information into my laptop computer. I'm guessing now that I should have been putting it into my TV direct?

Now I can not connect my TV to the internet!

The DNS address should be setup in your tv. The DNS ip address should be coming from your expressvpn account.

Hello Elixir. I am ready to continue. Sorry about big breaks but I had to do errands. I am at the stage where I can not connect my SAMSUNG TV to the internet. My phone, laptop, and another phone are connected ok.

Hi Wayne,

Ok. Can you go to menu on your tv then click network then click network status. You should see disconnect button on the lower left side corner and that means that your tv is connected to the internet. if you see connect button, then just click connect to reconnect to the wifi network.

ok you can go to control panel then go to network settings then right click your network connection then click propeties then clcik security tab to show your wireless network password.

the network password is written on the router and we have had no issues in setting it up prior

the one listed on the router mght have been changed already because the password can be changed manually. follow the steps that i provided to you to retrieve the password.

Dear wayne, It was a pleasure helping you with your samsung issue today. Here is a summary of the resolution.
Issue identified : cx trying to rin expressvpn on his tv
Solution Implemented : called cx and provided steps tp configure the tv. provided also video link on how to do it. cx ran to another issue that the tv cant connect to wifi. accessed cx computer and get the wifi password. tv is now connected to wifi, answer accepted
