Have you tried deleting the account that you accidentally created? and reregister the old phone number (353 580816)?

How about deleting and reinstalling the Whatsapp app in your Iphone? 

If you'll try to go to the new account's Menu to change the number will it let you? 

1. Go to Menu Button > Settings > Account > Change number.

Is the Samsung number still active meaning still can recieve text verification codes?

Unfortunately, you'll need to send an email to i**b@support.whatsapp.com and request to  have them unblock or remove the new number to your account if changing the number from the whatsapp menu is not possible in your end.  

thats the only option you'll have right now if reinstalling and reregistering is not working for you to use the old number. 

I believe it can be done since they are the one in control in enabling and disabling an account. by the way you can also use the s**t@whatsapp.com email that is the general email address  they have.
